Besides being involved in the family farms at Nungarin, Chandler, Hopetoun and Cascades area of WA.
Murray Field was involved in the setting up of one of the first Landcare Group in WA, Group Training Association in Esperance and was on the council of the WA Farmer Federation Grains Council.
After Leaving farming worked for 7 ½ years as a Rural Financial Counsellor at Corrigin in WA helping farming and rural business overcome financial difficulties he worked part time as a Financial Counselor for Anglicare for local town people retiring in March 2019.
His private company had rental properties in WA, QLD & VIC and has a self managed superannuation fund with share trading activities.
