Rodney Field
Besides being a farmer Rodney Field was involved in the Australian Oilseed, Pulse Crops and Seed industries at both WA Farmer Federation level and the Grains Council of Australia.
This lead to and involvement in Rural Industry Research firstly on the Grain Legumes Research Council, WA State Wheat Research Committee, Plant Breeding and Crop Protection Committee of the Grains Research and Development Corporation then a Director of the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation.
While Chairman of the Seeds Committee of the Grains Council of Australia was the leading negotiator in the setting up of Plant Breeders Rights in Australia representing the Australian Farming Community for 3 terms on the inaugural PBR Advisory committee. Member of the National Farmers Federation Ag Science and Education Committee.
Chairman of the WA Primary Industry Training Council and Director of the Rural Training Council of Australia. Chairman of the Committee that developed the competencies for the Australian Grains Industry.
Rodney has always been at the forefront of innovation and would interested on helping those involved in developing new and innovative enterprises or those who have or would like to have a Small Rural Holding.
Rodney is based in Byford in Western Australia.
